Cross Country Ski Program - 3310

Looking for a way to enjoy the Vermont winter? In collaboration with the Onion River Nordic Ski Club, the Bill Koch Youth Ski League (BKL) cross country ski program provides kids the skills they need to enjoy this lifetime sport. Our focus is to have kids gain a positive exposure to the sport and develop skills and agility through games and touring. Our program focuses on the classic ski technique. All ability levels are welcome. Parent participation is encouraged and essential to the success of the program.
Saturdays, Jan. 4 - Feb 15 | 1:30 - 2:30 pm | Country Club Rd or U-32 - TBA | $55 Montpelier residents/ $65 non-Montpelier Residents. Youth Between the Ages 4 - 10

Parent volunteer coaches are also needed - please reach out to [email protected] if you want to volunteer. Weather is often unpredictable. In the event of bad snow conditions, we may try to hold an alternative outdoor activity or plan an adventure to a local cross-country ski area with more snow. Each participant will need a set of boots, poles, and classic skis. Onion River Nordic will be able to equip some skiers - with a preference for first year skiers - through a lease program, with a fitting day on Sunday, December 8. Details on the lease day will be communicated closer to the date. Please register early if you hope to participate in the lease program. $5 discount for additional siblings.
