Cardboard Box Sled Entry - 3608

Join us for our 1st annual Cardboard Box Sled Derby on the hill! It’s time to get creative and design your very own box sled for this special event. The box sled must be made solely from cardboard and duct tape. Themes are encouraged and they must be family friendly. It should be designed to have one rider race down the hill. This is a FREE EVENT

All contestants must register their box sled with the Rec Department. You can register online or at the Rec Center located at 55 Barre St. There will be two different age groups. Group 1 will be for contestants ages 6-9. The second group will be for contestants ages 10 and above.

Box Sled Rules:
Sleds can only be made from regular cardboard, duct tape, and paint. No plastic, wood, glass, metal, staples, twine or wire allowed.
Design: Sleds must be family-friendly. Themes are encouraged, and sleds can be decorated with decals and paint.
One rider per sled. Helmets are required for all riders.

Check-ins will start at 12:30pm at the bottom of the sledding held located at the Country Club Rd. and races start at 1pm.
