As we age, we all gradually lose muscle mass, bone density, flexibility, strength, and balance. The focus of Bone Builders to diminish or avoid these negative consequences of aging.
Instructors lead students through a series of warm-ups; leg, core and arm exercises; gentle stretches; movements to enhance balance; and a series of cool downs. We use hand and ankle weights which begin at one pound and increase incrementally according to student readiness. The entire class is done seated or standing; each student works at the level that's appropriate for them. All materials are pro-vided.
