Youth Basketball (Grades: Kinder & 1/2) - 3594

Montpelier Recreation Department Youth Basketball Program: This is a volunteer-run youth basketball program is an opportunity for 5 to 12-year-old (K-6th Grade) to build self-esteem and have fun in a cooperative play environment. This program is open to players of all abilities. Participants will learn the basic skills: dribbling, passing, shooting, offense & defense, to use them in game like situations.

Deadline to Register: Friday, Nov. 15 at 4:00pm.

If your are a Roxbury Resident and you child attends Union Elementary School: Fee $65.00 (Please contact the office at (802) 225-8691 to register.)

The 1/2 Youth Basketball program will begin Saturday, January 4th at the Montpelier Recreation Center.

Gr. 1/2 Co-Ed: (Ages 6 & 7) - No Evaluations
Season: January 4 - Feb. 22
Practice: Saturday mornings for the first few weeks.
Games: Saturday mornings at the Rec. Center Gym.
Travel: No traveling at this age group.

If you are interested in coaching, please contact Program Manager Haidi Arias at [email protected]. A coaches meeting will be planned for the week of Dec. 9th. Once the registration closes, the coaches meeting date will be announced.

Parents will receive rosters, schedule dates, and additional details in mid-December after the coaches meeting.
