Montpelier Recreation Department Youth Basketball Program: This is a volunteer-run youth basketball program is an opportunity for 5- to 12-year-old (K-6th Grade) to build self-esteem and have fun in a cooperative play environment. This program is open to players of all abilities. Participants will learn the basic skills: dribbling, passing, shooting, offense & defense, to use them in game like situations.

Deadline to Register: Friday, Nov. 1 at 4:00pm.

If you are a Roxbury Resident and your child attends MSMS, you may register with the Montpelier Rec Dept. (FEE: $75.00 per player)

Gr. 5/6 Boys: (Ages 10 - 12)
The season will begin with skill evaluation sessions which will take place Friday, November 8th at the Montpelier Recreation Center.
5th Graders: 4:30pm – 5:30pm
6th Graders: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Evaluations are mandatory in order to balance the teams within our program.

Season: Dec. 2 - Feb. 22
Practice: Teams will practice once or twice a week at the Rec. Center Gym.
Games: Saturday mornings at Main St. Middle School (Dec. 7 - Feb. 22)
Travel: Teams will be traveling to other towns around the area.

Practices will take place at the Montpelier Recreation Center starting Dec. 2 and will continue to be held one or two nights per week throughout the season depending on gym availability. The games will start in December and be held on Saturdays at Main Street Middle School.
